The camp program will run from July 1st -August 9th, 2024, for ages 8-17.

Among the many things we will cover,

  1. · Basic acting techniques
  2. · Character work
  3. · Relationships on stage
  4. · Scene work
  5. · Auditions
  6. · Improvisation exercises and games
  7. · Poetry/spoken word/rap/
  8. · Monologue
  9. · Playwriting

 

Daily Schedule

  1. 9:30-10 am-Check in and receive breakfast 
  2. 10-10:30 Am-Clean Up 
  3. 10:30-11 AM-Drama games/ IMPROVISATION 
  4. 11-12 pm- Vocal and physical warm-up included stretching and moderate exercise; teaching of term, script review, and cold read
  5. 12-12:30pm-Brainstorming
  6. 12:30-1 pm-Lunch
  7. 1 pm-1:30-Creative Writing
  8. 1:30-3 pm-Play Rehearsal, check-out

Description

Through this program, Stage It Up Drama seeks to develop participants' artistic, self-esteem, positive social interaction, life skills, and coping skills to deal with life stressors. Stage It Up program incorporates multiple skills such as voice projection, improvisation, character development, team building, acting techniques, creative writing, and show production. These skills enable participants to understand and love the dramatic arts while teaching showmanship, memorization, and originality. Participants from the ages of Children/tweens (8 years through 12 years) and Adolescents (13 years through 17 years- will have the opportunity to be a part of live performances, meet new people, develop audition techniques, and, most of all, have fun. In addition, all plays performed are the director's original work and those who participated in the program.
